I purchased this car from the long time owner of approximately 15 years. The car was babied and well taken care of but like most classics, parked inside and not driven as much as it should have been. The clutch including slave and master cylinder along with the carburetors had all been rebuilt or replaced. I was told the motor had been rebuilt at some point but do not have any receiptsto prove; the oil pressure is great and it runs, idles and performs great!
The car starts right up, shifts, stops and handles well. I drove it yesterday on a warm day and it ran very cool and performed very well. The interior had been recently redone and look great. The unfortunate thing is there is a small tear in the almost new convertible top that has been sealed but you can still see. The older AM/FM stereo works when the box speakers (included) that I removed are installed. This engine sounds way too good to listen to any music.
The car comes with a bill of sale because the State I purchased from does not issue Titles on cars over 25 years old. If you need a Title I can provide one from California; it will just take a few weeks.
I am selling many of my classic cars to pay for my daughters very expensive college tuition. This car was one I purchase last year so some of the last I acquired I am selling. This is a nice example of a TR6 that is affordable and one you can drive and enjoy.
I have described the car to the best of my ability; I would encourage you to inspect the car or hire a company to inspect. I am available to answer any and all questions you many have about the car.
