Triumph TR250 Show Car with accident damage American Racing Magnesium Wheels
1968 Triumph TR250 Description
1968 TR250 CD8546L was one of the last fifty TR250's built. It's one of very few in Jasmine Yellow with a tan interior. Most Jasmine yellow cars had black seats with white piping. I've owned this car for 27 years and have history and receipts back to 1976. All of the sheet metal is original and rust free. The car was hit on the right side. The frame appears to be undamaged. The very rare optional American Racing magnesium wheels and spinners were also not damaged. The stainless trim popped off in the accident and is fine. I have many detailed photos of this car, including the damage, and I will be happy to send them to interested buyers. You may also inspect the car in person. The USAA insurance adjuster told me that their policy is to declare cars with obsolete parts a total loss. This car has a Maryland rebuildable title. Everything mechanical on this TR250 is original to the car and has been rebuilt. I have receipts for all of the work. The matching numbers engine was hot tanked, bored and fitted with new pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, rods, lifters, oil pump, timing chain, water pump, valves, springs etc. The transmission was completely rebuilt and the clutch replaced. The suspension, rear differential, brake booster, master cylinder, slave cylinder and calipers were all rebuilt or replaced. A performance cam from Richard Good was used, along with a Richard Good manifold. Triple Stromberg carbs are perfectly tuned and produce more power than triple Webbers. The car has been driven less than 4000 miles since this work was performed. The seats have been recovered, the carpet replaced with correct Wilton wool and the upper dash pad replaced. The glass, steering wheel, gauges, Black & Yellow hoses, seatbelts, door panels, chrome, stainless trim, grill and wooden dash are all original. Included with the car are service records, receipts and title history going back to 1976. Also included is a British Heritage Certificate, the original brochure and service manual. This TR250 is a rare and well preserved British car that deserves to be repaired. Car is garaged in Maryland, zip code 21132. I will assist with loading the car onto a transporter and, for an additional charge, deliver the car to the Port of Baltimore. I will also connect overseas buyers with an international shipper if needed. The cost of shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
