RARE 1972 Triumph GT6 Classic British Sports Car Restored
1972 Triumph GT6 MK3 Description
Beautifully restored Triumph GT66 cylinder 2.0 liter engineFast and Strong. Pull the choke, turn the key and hit the gas....off she goes. Here's the story of the Triumph GT6:I purchased the car in March 2014 from a TR3 owner in Cape Carteret. He had owned the car since 1987 when he acquired the car from his brother after he went to prison. Sad story, but I got the car. Reason I'm selling is to work on a '71 MG Midget project. This GT6 came with hundreds of new parts from The Roadster Factory which I proceeded to install along with repairs to the body. It's amazing how many parts are still available for these Triumphs considering only 13k were made in 1972. Reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triumph_GT6I replaced and restored these parts:- Rocker panels
- Floor pans
- Rechromed bumpers
- POR15 paint for chassis and interior
- Urethane top coat of Inca Gold, original British Leyland color
- Suspension including wheel bearings, new trunnions, poly and rubber bushings, sway bar bushings, tie rod ends

- Master brake cylinder seals
- Hydraulic Clutch seals

I recently added a heat shield around the carbs to prevent vapor lock which these cars are susceptible to in warmer climates. Only issues that I know are small bubbles appearing in paint on bonnet and cracked trim near latch.See pic. Mileage is unknown, odometer is not working. No warranty, sold as is.All are invited to come to the beach in Eastern North Carolina and inspect and test drive.
