1959 Triumph TR3 4-SPEED, STANDARD WHEELS Description

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very solid, straight, honest and original TR3A in a refreshing and attractive period color scheme. It was just purchased here in California, but is believed to have lived previously in a dry area in the state of Colorado. This car appears very original and untouched with possibly it's original mileage. It runs and drives but would benefit from a mechanical servicing. It's the perfect car for easy improvement while keeping it usable and on the road. The body on this car appears very honest and straight. Panel fit is per TR3A for the period. The paintwork is older and is showing plenty of touch-ups, scrapes, dings, shrinking, etc. but has an original look and feel to it. The car could use some outer rocker replacement only, but the rest of the car is essentially very rustfree with excellent floors, boot floor, spare tire area, etc. still showing some factory light blue paint. The car's underside looks completely straight and perfectly solid. The car's remaining interior trim is original, but seat and carpet materials have decayed from exposure to the weather. The dashboard and gauges look good along with a nice steering wheel/trafficator.The car's engine starts easily on the push of a button. There is an unusual intermittent knock or ticking in the engine which we are currently diagnosing/looking at. We will be posting a video soon of the car driving along the road. This car still retains it's original VIN plate, correct pair of body tags, and correctly sequenced engine block, most likely original to the car.Overall, a very good honest and original car, a perfect candidate for a "driving" restoration. This car is finished in a crisp and attractive period color scheme and would make a lovely driver after some simple cosmetics, or can be driven as a survivor.
