1971 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Description

1971 Deluxe Transporter. Rebuilt 1600 cc motor, manual transmission, brand new steering box. Sold new in Houston Texas confirmed by the M-Code plate. Rare Chianti Red (L31H) and Pastel White (L90D). Solid Texas bus with minimal rust. The paint above the belt line (deluxe trim) is 100% original. The lower half of the body was repainted Seirra Yellow at some point. The engine bay is still the original color. The motor was rebuilt before its long term storage and has relatively low miles. The bus was a reliable daily driver before it was parked parked back in 2012. The motor has not been started since 2012. The bus will likely need the gas tank flushed, new belt, oil change, tune up, new battery, ect. before it can started. Overall the body is solid. There is some paint blistering on the outer lower rockers and rust on the front floors. The inner rockers, frame, jack points, under carriage, gutters, and out riggers are solid. This is a very complete and original bus.1971 is considered by most the best year as its the first year of the disc brakes, last year for the classic bumpers and low lights. Selling because I have to many other projects I'm working on at this time. The bus rolls, stops and steers for easy transport. With a little work this would be a great daily driver or a solid basis for a full restoration.Clear Oregon title in hand.
