1971 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Description
I am the second owner. Bought from original owner family. I've owned it for a couple years and slowly working on it. It was last plated in 1989.
As you can see in the pictures the frame was undercoated and is super solid. It looks like it had some repair workdone to the rear drivers panel and the whole bus was resprayed with original color. The wheel wells and rockers are super solid but the front floor left and right need repaired. The rear battery tray area is rusted through.
ORIGINALMILEAGE79079 -I just had the engine block rebuilt at Johnson VW. Line bored and all new internals. It runs and idles nice.Original engine, AE426914, and transmission. Original key cylinders and new keys.
I installed new front and rear bakes. New rear drums, cylinders, pads, and internal parts. New front brake calipers, cylinders, and pads.New turn signal switch.
All originaldeluxe chrome, emblem. door panels. I replaced the front seat with a nicer one I had. I still have theoriginal seat. It just needs to be recovered. I'll swap it with the buyer if they want.
