1974 Volkswagen Thing Description

You are bidding on a Beautiful 1974 Volkswagen thing with 80,000 original miles. This "Thing" is owned by an older couple who bought it used in 1975 and have kept it garaged ever since. I am a friend and assisting with the sale. This is a rare example of a Mexican Thing with the original hardtop with original removable windows and original running boards. The engine is original and has never been overhauled. It runs and drives great. I have several more pictures and a video of the engine running if anyone is interested. Every piece of metal is original and has NEVER had any rust. The vehicle was completely disassembled about 10 years ago and every part was meticulously re-painted. Every single bolt in this Volkswagen removed without breaking and was reused. Upon reassembly, any rubbers that were perished were replaced and the upholstery was re-done. This VW Thing is a time capsule. The current owner is a classic car collector and knows how to keep his vehicles nice. This "Thing" would be a valuable addition to any collection and could be enjoyed as a fun classic for years to come.
The only "flaws" worth mentioning are that the paint on the front bumper has 2 small wear marks from the vehicle being covered. I can send pictures to any interested parties.
