This is an early 1970 walk through Bay Bus. This Bus is a hop in and drive anywhere you would like to go. Everything is in working order including all exterior lights. Brand new brakes were just installed before listing. This was my wife's daily driver last summer but has had little use this year. Our family has owned this Bus for over 12 years and it has been passed around from member to member. This was a rock solid Bus when originally purchased but a few winters of driving has left it as you see it. Doors, front floors, rockers and cargo door are rough and rusty. The front floor is not gone and could be patched as it has been in the past. The interior is in great condition with good mats, dash and quite presentable upholstery. I have a rear seat frame that I will let go with the Bus but it is metal frame only and needs padding and upholstery. For the person interested in restoring this Bus I also have for an additional price perfect rust free front doors and a rust free cargo door. $500 on top of purchase price would get these 3 pieces. The replacement doors are deluxe doors and I do also have a full set of belt line trim to convert this toa Deluxe.
The engine has been gone through when my brother owned it about 3 years ago and still does not leak any oil. It is a stock dual port that pushes the Bus comfortably down the road at 55-60MPH. The transmission has never been gone through in the time we have owned it but it has no issues at all. The generator went out on me last year so I converted it to a 1 wire alternator and installed a new clutch when I had the engine out. As stated earlier this is a 1 pump, fire up and drive anywhere Bus.

I usually don't give out reserve prices in the listing however with Bus prices going through the roof I don't want anyone to think I have lost my mind and believe I have a $300,000 Bus. The reserve is set a modest $3500. Exactly what I have in the Bus. I honestly think the Bus is well worth $5000-$5500 in its current state and my job is working on air-cooled VWs so I am quite involved in the industry and very realistic on my pricing.
