1968 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Description

This is my 1968 VW Beetle,RAT ROD, Volksrod. It has been extremely modified,it has been narrowed,sectioned and inbred with several donor parts Ford,Plymouth and Chevrolet parts were all used in this build.Lots of cutting,welding and late late nights, but it turned out awesome.It's not a new truck and it's not perfect so know that going in.I am the builder and the only owner it has had since this transformation.The motor is a stock 1600 ("40hp i believe"). I drive it to work sometimes when i know the weather is going to be pretty.Its not real fast but is very cool. The glass all has cracks in them except the drivers side and the back glass is laying on the counter in my shop,I wanted a rat rod and all i had was vw's and my drag parts so i built this. You can see it running on youtube before it got finished and got its new wheels."RAT ROD VOLKSROD JAKES JALOPY"and you can see it running.this is really a cool ride.It could be a really nice show ride if somebody wanted to get rid of the rust and repaint it,or leave it as a Volksrod.The body is very solid.Front wheels and tires are about a year ol, the rear wheels and tires are brand new put on this weekend.THIS THING IS CUSTOM !!! The stereo quit working the other day,i was caught in a thunderstorm and couldn't avoid it. i will try to have that fixed for the new owner,if not ill make sure i have one to go with it.the reserve is very fair for a custom like this. It is tiny.This truck is also for sale locally.
