INSIDE: Nice seats cleaned up fairly good. Seats go back and forth, tilt and go up and down as designed. Tilt steering, cold AC, nice CD/stereo sound, tinted, odometer, speedometer, clock, blinkers, lighter, fan control, heat, windows operation, door operation, locks with correct keys, seat belts, cigarette lighter, rear defrost, door mirrors, roof light all work as designed.
OUTSIDE: One of the best rust free projects I've seen for the age. I've seen no signs of it ever being wrecked. All very straight and really amazing. Paint is glossy and shines all around but the roof, hood and trunk lid has the worn highway look (see photos). I think it is best left as the overall original paint still looks good. All lights, backup, low and high, blinkers, breaks, running, markers function as designed. Does have removable tow hitch.

MECHANICAL: Needs nothing. Mechanically great. Non turbo diesel 1.6 factory diesel motor and factory 5 speed manual transmission. My current estimate on MPG is 40 city and Highway 50-60. New timing belt. New starter. Injectors rebuilt and has my favorite DNOSD 193, 4 new struts. new front window, recent alignment, new Micheline on front, new exhaust. It is strong and runs great. No smoke. No leaks. Doesn't use any fluids.
TRANSFER: You must contact me with you intentions within 24 hours. Will need $100 deposit to hold IF you are out of state and need more than 24 hours. If you can not meet to inspect and purchase the vehicle after 3 days I may offer to next highest bidder (you will loose your deposit) unless you work out plans with me. I will work with you, but you have to show progress on your efforts. I will take full or partial payment via credit card if you need help on time. I will ship if you find you a shipper and you pay for the service. We can store free for 90 days if you pay in full 1st. You can fly or bus in, will pick you up at McGee airport or bus station. Questions I received.

Q: Is there anything that you would address if you were to keep it.
A: This has been a daily driver for a couple years. I cant think of anything it needs.

Q: I see you have new tires on the front how are the tread on the back?
A: Back tires are 1/2 life aprox.
Q: Does it smoke at all or do you use an additive?
A:Doesn’t smoke. Don’t use additives. Fuel is adjusted to perfect efficiency between power and mpg. So very clean even on load. Using special nozzles that are highest grade Japanese steel and technology.
Q: Is that the original transmission and engine and what have you done to make them last so long?
A: I believe they are both original. We have run to Atlanta twice and it has been driven regularly and we haven't had any engine or trans issues. It is fairly solid diesel burner. With a load it will still kill 80 all day long.
Q: When was the clutch last done and is there any play in the shift lever?
A: Don’t know how old clutch is, but it doesn’t have issues at all. Shiftier has the regular vw play. Bunch of it but not sloppy bad,
