1964 VW Convertible
Here is a very nice numbers matching 1964 Volkswagen Convertible that received a complete pan off restoration about 1 year ago. This beautifully restored convertible is in excellent condition inside and out. I have driven this around 200 miles since the restoration was complete without any issues, it runs, drives, and rides great! Body:
Color= VW Dove Blue
Very straight and clean with no dents or rust
All new seals (window, body, and top) along with new chrome molding
All glass is original except for the windshield
Inner fenders, back sides of fenders, and under the hood have been undercoated.
Interior/Top:
New salt and pepper Carpet
Sound deadener installed before carpet
All new Seat foam covered in gray tweed with matching tweed door panels
New black canvas top and matching boot with off white headliner and padding bought from Chucks Convertibles
Re-Chromed Vent wing and quarter window frames, driver side roll up frame has a few pits starting.
Correct convertible rear view mirror
Suspension/Chassis/Brakes:
Stock width beam with adjusters and new drop spindles, king pins, and link pins
Lowered 1 spline in the rear
All new rubber and metal brake lines
New Wheel bearings
New floor pans coated with POR 15 top and bottom
Wheels/Tires:
Factory slotted wide 5 VW wheels
New 145/65/15 fronts and 165/15 rears
Electrical:
New complete wiring harness
Converted to 12V
All the lights work windshield wipers also work
No horn
No Radio- has radio delete plate
Engine/Trans:
Freshened up 1641 Single Port ( H series block) with less than 200 miles on rebuild
Engine has been line bored, new rods, polished crank, new oil pump, new main/rod/and cam bearings
Factory H30-31 Solex Carb
Stock exhaust with J tubes
Transaxle is stock, has small oil leak.
