1969 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Deluxe Description

1969 Deluxe Sunroof Bus With a Westfalia Camper Kit.
This is the bus VW should have created, all the interior features of a Westy, plus the cool and functional sliding sunroof. This bus was sold new at Precision Motor Cars in Beverley Hills, California.
The bus runs and drives and shifts great, no issues. Awesome daily driver. The odometer reads 98K miles. It’s had a recent tune up and all the fluids replaced. The AE engine was refurbished at some point, notice the yellow Canadian VW/ Audi decal. Electronic ignition, with Pertronixs Flamethrower coil and distributor. New right rear axle, rear wheel cylinders and brake shoes. Excellent Hankook RA08 185R14 tires.
All of the electrical components work flawlessly, including the clock and the vintage AM/FM Blaupunkt radio.
The seats have new Wolfsburg West pads and covers. Also new seat stand mats and seatbelts. The Westy kit was removed from a ’72 one owner bus. The sink drain is included, but not connected. The sunroof works great. The inside vinyl sunroof cover/ panel is missing.
1 original coded key opens all doors and operates the ignition.
The body and frame is solid. The body has had repairs in the past. The front floors were patched many years ago. The outriggers and jack points are great. Front lower doglegs need repair. The sliding door is bubbling on the bottom as well as the bottom front corner of the passenger door. Rust is forming around the sunroof. Backside of lower nose is rusty.
Overall a nice daily driver condition bus. Take it to the next level, or enjoy it as is. I have many pics, so just ask. Thanks.
