So I guess I’ll start with the bad stuff… well that was easy! Nothing to say!!

Honestly there isn’t anything bad to say about this bus. It is unbelievable and by far the nicest bus I have ever had the privilege of seeing in person. Everything from the body, to the engine, tires, and interior is perfect. A few years back this bus underwent a professional restoration and was done with quality in mind, nothing being overlooked.

The exterior as you can see is painted beautifully. It has the deluxe trim which really pops out against the paint. The paint is quality and in excellent shape as is the rest of the body. All of the doors line up and close great and tight. The bus is nice and straight, not wavy, and not a former rot bucket that was simply restored. The window and door seals are all in excellent condition. Has a set of Wolfsburg Safari windows on the front, and if you’ve never driven with the Safari windows you will be in for a surprise, there is nothing that can match the feeling of having an open front windshield! They also get a lot of compliments and looks of fascination as most people have never seen safari windows. Move around the bus and you will see this bus is equipped with pop out windows all around, which is another great feature in a Bus. All of them open easily and close tightly and have new seals. This bus is solid and looks beautiful all around. Paint is fantastic, only 1 minor flaw is a couple small bubbles, very minor and small (behind rear bumper) but just wanted to call out. Other than that paint is a high quality and beautiful paint job. Bumpers are in great shape, as are the rims and tires. The drip rail is in perfect condition as well. Time to check out the inside

Pictures tell it all and compliments will be overwhelming. Has custom bamboo interior and is setup as a true beach lovers dream bus. Bamboo side panels, floor, and ceiling, make with bus very bright and welcoming inside. Seats have been reupholstered and go great with the bamboo. Small touches like the red Hawaiian foot board and accent pieces add just enough color. Front seats and bamboo floor are also in great shape. Dash is in great shape. Door panels are in great shape. Also comes with bamboo table that fits perfectly! Yes, it has seatbelts and is child friendly! Time to take it for a ride...

Again, pictures speak to the quality of the engine. Clean enough to eat off of, yet strong enough to pull a tractor trailer through the rocky mountains! Aside from being beautiful, this engine packs a punch. It is a STRONG and fresh 1760CC motor, and as you can see in the pictures all of the components are new and clean. The first time I drove it I was in awe. I’ve had the opportunity to drive lots of VW’s over the years and I can say with confidence that this is rare. Unlike every other VW I’ve driven, this thing is actually fast and powerful. It sounds fantastic and runs even better. Dual carburetors. Also has had a full flow oil filter and dog house fan shroud added which make a world of difference with keeping the engine cool. The full flow oil filter ensures your engine will have longevity as you’re able to use a full size oil filter as opposed to only using the small internal screen (which basically does nothing compared to a modern filter). The oil filter also allows you to use more oil in the engine which helps with keep your bus running cool and strong. The transmission is also great and has no issues with popping out of gear, grinding, etc. It’s a bus so obviously shifter takes a trip around the block to get use to. Has the freeway flyer transmission so you have good speed and can actually get out of the slow lane on the highway! Clutch is good and steering is nice and tight. No shaking, vibrating, or weird noises from anywhere when driving. Brakes work good. E Brake holds. All of the lights work, including the hazards. Horn works. Also has a ‘secret’ auxiliary horn which is always a crowd favorite! Wiring is all new, which you can see when looking inside the engine bay; all neat, clean, and organized. Last but not least the suspension. As you can see it has been lowered and sits at the perfect level. Suspension is smooth and in great shape. Has air bags which you can either inflate or deflate to fit your desires [25 PSI if you like it low, or 200 PSI if you’re cruising on some bumpy roads!], with the valves located under the front seat so it’s quick and easy to adjust the air pressure! Interior is mint. Body is mint. Drives fantastic. I guess it’s time to crawl underneath and get a look at the undercarriage…

Not to beat a dead horse, but again please look at the pictures. The bottom of this bus is impeccable (yes, I said impeccable). Every piece is solid and cleaner than a toothbrush. It has all been undercoated so no need to worry about future rusting (inside of floors was even coated as an extra precaution). Jack points are great, all the floors are great, frame rails are great. Inside the wheelwells are great. Bottom side of the engine and transmission are great. Again, no flaws.

So that about covers everything. It’s an amazing bus and will definitely be winning car shows left and right. It’s completely solid and runs fantastic, built to be an everyday anywhere driver. You’re going to love this bus, I can sure guarantee that. Everybody you will meet will love this bus. How could they not, it’s beautiful. It is a great conversation starter and people will always be amazed when they see it. The only flaw is that your hand is going to be sore because of all the high fives!

If you have any additional questions please reach out prior to bidding. Look at all the pictures and videos and it will likely answer all of your questions. Please remember this vehicle is close to 50 years old, and while it is in AMAZING condition it will not drive like a 2016 Ferrari (although it will be more fun, and I can all but guarantee the bus will be more dependable, and yes it’s fast as hell, so maybe it will drive like a Ferrari!). If you want any additional or specific pictures please let me know, but I’m confident that you’ll see everything you can want if you follow the link as it has 120 or so pics of everything. I have promised the roof racks to a friend, but I would be willing to include one for my Buy It Now price. The bus is sold as is, $2,000 deposit via PayPal due within 24 hours and non-refundable, full payment due within 5 days. Payment must be made via wire transfer, cash in person, check (upon clearing)... wire is easiest and therefore preferred. Shipping cost is buyer's responsibility. Willing to work with shipping company to help coordinate pickup. Bus is for sale locally as well and therefore I reserve right to end the auction early, unless of course you use Buy It Now, which is priced pretty damn good at $35,000. Buy it now tends to disappear so if you don’t see it just shoot me a message and we can figure it out.
