I'm selling a recent estate purchase. A 1990 Volkswagen Cabriolet convertible. I originally planned on giving it a total revamp, but don't have the time at the moment. This is a summer fun car for the VW enthusiast. It was originally a Florida car. It has a solid body and runs fine. It has a couple of issues: the driver's side power window doesn't operate; the air conditioning doesn't work; the windshield wipers work occasionally (may need a new wiper motor); the front seats have been replaced with newer Golf bucket seats (very comfortable). If you're a VW enthusiast, you know that most VW's need some tinkering. This is no exception. If you want a car that gets good gas mileage that you can bop around the neighborhood in, this is it. If you can do the work on it yourself, this is a good opportunity to save some money.
This has a Maryland "clear title". The "Autocheck" shows a "Salvage title", which is due to the fact that the car was stolen when it was in Florida (about 15 years ago) and apparently the insurance company paid the owner for the loss and then the car showed up shortly thereafter and was re-titled - that's why the "Salvage Title". There's no sign of it ever being wrecked. The body is solid with no rust. The engine compartment is clean and rust free.
