1982 Vanagon Westfalia Camper ready to roadtrip to wherever your heart desires.
This van was built to be reliable, stress free, and cost efficient to own and maintain for the next 100k+ miles.
Everything on the underside and has been replaced with NEW components in the last 5k miles. Since then, I have taken it on several trips and it has been perfect. This van is turn-key and a joy to drive. Everything the stock Vanagon is known for lacking has been addressed with this van. It will hold 80mph in 4th gear up highway grades and is FUN to drive.
The speedometer and odometer were replaced around 1999-2000, and this is the reason for the title odometer discrepancy
Drivetrain:
-ABA swap w/ 91kfrom 2001 VW cabrio
-New seals, headbolts, and gaskets
-New waterpump, belts, etc.
-custom intake manifold with tuned runner length
-fully functioning OBD2 port under the dash.
-New ECT, MAF and O2 sensors.
-Hydraulic engine mounts on custom cradle.
-custom full stainless exhaust from manifold to tailpipe using magnaflow xl3 muffler and high flow cat.
-Fully rebuilt DK aircooled transaxle with Vanagon Diesel bellhousing.
-New bearings, gaskets, circlips, sliders, reverse gear, 4th gear, and Redline gear oil.
-New OEM Lobro/GKN CV joints and boots.
-New shifter linkage bushings and shifter balljoint
-TDI starter
-New clutch hardline, master, and slave cylinders
-New coolant system. Every coolant line in the entire van is brand new.
-New vanagon radiator with dual speed fan.
-Gas tank full reseal kit and all new fuel hose/clamps
-New fuel pump and upgraded large post pump filter.
-New fuel level sender
Suspension/running gear:
-Bilstein Shocks with ’85 springs
-New shock hardware and bushings
-New Whiteline bushings in the control arms/trailing arms
-New zinc plated hardware used throughout.
-New GW delrin UCA bushings
-New Lemsforder balljoints upper and lower.
-New tierods and boots.
-New radius rod bushings and hardware
-Audi B6 2004 288x25mm big brakes
-New Brembo rotors and Mintex redbox pads.
-New flexible lines and new OEM master cylinder.
-All hardlines replaced with copper nickel along with all new metric bubble flare nuts.
-New internal hardware and shoes on rear brakes
-Audi B6 2004 16x7 alloy wheels with matching spare
-Front hubs and greasecaps turned to accept any vw/audi 5x112mm wheel.
-T3 technique front studs and proper smallseat lugnuts front and rear.

-Original ’82 Westy interior in amazingly clean shape.
-Vitrifrigo C62 (better than TF65) with properly modified cabinet
