1968 VW Panel Van Bus with Riviera Camper interior and Hawaiian motif
1968 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Description
This is a 1968 VW Panel Van that was been turned into a Riviera Camper. His name is Milo. He was named this by the second owner, who named him after the first owner. The first owner (Milo) kept excellent records of everything that was done to the van. They are included in the sale along with the Original owners manual and shop manuals. I am the third owner of 10 years and have not had any major issues other than replacing the transmission. Most everything functions as it should, however it does need a new battery and shocks.
The camper has a z bed for two, a table and seating for four, a hand pump faucet and a ice box that is adorned with Grateful Dead and beer/bar stickers. There are is plenty of storage closets and cupboards. The cab sports a kind of Hawaiian theme and has a split bench that will seat three. There is also a Pioneer 4x40 watt am/fm/cd stereo player.
The van could do with a paint job as the paint is oxidized and there are some rust spots. The motor and transmission work great and the tires are great.
I have no idea how many actual miles are on it but I was told by a VW mechanic that it looked as though the original motor might have been replaced.
The body is straight and there is also a real forced air heater in it - a Rare find.
