1993 Volvo 240 Description

You aren’t going to find a more beautiful (interior) and mechanically sound Volvo 1993 240 Wagon out there. All the seats are in excellent condition, it includes a few rarer options, and has been treated with love and care since I bought it. The A/C blows cold, the transmission shifts strong and smoothly. I have driven the car cross country twice in the past 2 years and wouldn’t have a worry about doing it again. The real downside of this car is the paint has the standard aging of an early 90’s Volvo 240 that has been in the sun. Sides and rare are in really good condition. The hood and roof has fading and spots.

This vehicle is being sold "as-is."If you need any other pictures, or have any questions- please contact me.

A few notes of what’s different then what you usually find on a 1993 Volvo 240 Model:

Front grill is the “blacked out” 1992 Version. This is a 1993 model, but the original grill was faded, and I had an opportunity to replace it with a crisp/clean ’92, so I did.

Again A/C works, switch was changed a few years ago after there was a short in the original switch. Bought replacement switch but never rewired it to replace it. Includes original switch and replacement switch.

Clean Title. No leaks or rust. Non-smoker, no odors. This car is very solid and strong.

Now for the good & bad:

The Bad:

-Small dent on top of drivers side front fender.

-Small dent under drivers side mirror by trim.

-Small dent in the left area of rear license plate holder.

-Rarely, but on hot days, 85+ degrees after running and starting back up after a few minutes Check Engine Light comes on for a second until you give it gas. Car runs totally fine after that. This has been a gremlin that I or Volvo mechanics have been able to successfully diagnosis. My best guess is now it will probably need the Idle Control Valve cleaned or replaced.

-Center brake console has cracked, has been glued back in places to solid it up.

-Rear passenger (drivers side) has some cracks in the plastic next to the door.
