1992 Volvo 240 244 Description

Beautiful Volvo 244. Paint is a couple of years old and is gorgeous. Very rust free, was a great candidate for a restore. Had a recent buff and shines very nice. This 244 has a strong running b230ft turbo from a Volvo 740 is also intercooled. The previous owner claimed the engine had 90,000 miles when dropped in this car. I do know the engine runs strong and doesn't make any strange noises. I am a Volvo guy and know these engines are capable of achieving a million miles.
I recently had a $1000.00 3, custom, Stainless Steel turbo back exhaust put on it. Has a new Borla muffler and Catalytic Converter, sounds great. Engine has not been modified in any way and is boosting at the stock 6psi. The 5 speed transmission shifts great with no grinding or problems could use new shifter bushings however to take up some of the slop. The battery was very professionally moved to the trunk of the car. This has been garaged and was in my garage sitting for 6 weeks before I drove it. Didn't leave a drop of oil on the floor.
The interior is as nice as the exterior as seen in the pictures, no dash cracks or rips etc...
Car is great on the highway and cruises along just fine at 75mph. This thing is a tank, and with the floors and firewall dynamated it's even quieter and feels very solid. Doesn't overheat even in Tucson's 110 degree heat.
I opened a second business and have no time to transform this into the racecar I wanted, so, it's Ebay time!
The Issues
Drivers side rear door will not open, the latch behind the door card came loose and the card will have to pulled to fix it.
Although the paint is gorgeous (the car was painted with the engine pulled and the bay is also very nice). The inside of the trunk was not painted and displays the original color of the car. Not sure why it wasn't painted but, it is what it is. I discovered this a short time ago when I put in a new 740 fuel pump.
Of course, the obligatory AC needs a recharge caveat. The compressor is free and the AC light comes on. It did have a ground wire loose coming from the compressor and it blew a little cooler when re-affixed but definitely not cold enough. So, I would say the AC is non-op. I have not checked the Freon level, but I wouldn't refill it without first replacing the O-rings because I'm pretty sure there is a leak.
All in all a great example of a classic 240 with some tasteful one-of-a-kind additions. Please feel free to contact me if there is something I missed. I will be more than happy to assist in anyway if you need to transport the car to your location. I only have Sunday off but will do my best to arrange time to meet with a driver and get it safely loaded up. Will send you a picture of it loaded and driving off to it's new home.
