1947 Willys CJ2a Diesel
1947 Willys CJ2a Description
1947 CJ2a swapped with a Mercedes Diesel 240d engine. Mated a Suzuki Samurai transfer case to the mercedes 4-speed transmission. Most of the wiring is done except for the rear tailights, rear brake lights, and turn signals. The front flipdown windshield has been completely restored with new glass. Front and rear axles were swapped out with narrow track CJ axles. Speedometer cable has not been hooked up yet to the transmission. There are two gas tanks, one connected to the rear and one under the seat. The one under the seat is not hooked up(brand new tank). There was a lot of modifications and work done on this willys in order to make the engine/transmission, and transfer case work. One thing I have not figured out yet is how to cut the engine off mechanically from inside the cab.
