1986 Audi 5000 Quattro CS Turbo Description
Here we have a very rare and very special car, my very well loved 1986 Audi 5000 Turbo Quattro 5 speed manual. I am selling this car to fund a new business venture and I truly don't want to see it go. To say that I've invested a lot of blood sweat and tears would be an understatement. I have over $5,000 in receipts for parts and upgrades. I'm at a point in my life where I want to take my business to a higher level and being recently divorced has motivated me to do these things.
THE GOOD
- Entire rear suspension is overhauled, new control arms, ball joints and everything in between
- All four brand new shocks and struts, new shock and strut mounts, less than five miles
- new brakes at all four corners using only the highest quality stuff
- New knock sensor
- New valve cover gasket included
- New 02 sensor
- New oil pressure sender
- New coolant temp sensor
- Engine fully tuned up with all brand new ignition components
- 034 Motorsport boost silicone hoses and breather hoses
- Timing belt is good
- Includes new 034 motorsport Billet engine and trans mounts, brand new in box
- Includes OEM wheels with like new tires
- 18" Audi RS6 wheels on it now, with decent 235/40/18 tires and rear quarters have been rolled for fitment
- Includes 200 20v intercooler with pipes and crossmember that's been painted nicely, this is a rare and expensive upgrade
- transmission shifts like new, has new discontinued shifter bushing
- transmission and diffs filled with redline and redline shockproof mix, no whine no grinds
- brand new battery with warranty
- all gauges work, as do lights
- power seats work, as do seat heaters
- climate control rebuilt at the cost of $450
- power steering and brake bomb rebuilt and leaks no fluids
- all four window motors and regulators are new
- New rear wheel bearings and axle seals
- Frame and all underside stuff is rust free and clean
- All glass has correct quattro script
There is so much i'm forgetting, but you get the point. I have replaced nearly everything that goes wrong, and a bunch of stuff as preventative maintenance. Car has been babied. I have so much time and money in this car!
THE BAD
- Little bit of rust under trunk area, easy fix
- Car stumbles under acceleration, putting the knock sensor on tomorrow in hopes to fix that issue
- leaks coolant, needs topped up occasionally, turbo water line is the leak source
- leaks a minuscule amount of oil from turbo oil line and does NOT affect oil level
- Paint has oxidization
- Driver seat has tearing, rest of interior is quite good
- Brake light is on due to a cut ABS switch
- Car has CIS injection and cold idle is always slightly rough until warmed up, this is extremely common and normal.
- Exhaust leak, easy fix
This car is a 31 year old German car, don't expect a car free of glitches and quirks. With that being said, this is one of the most restored and well cared for 5000s out there. Locking differentials, memory and power seats, so many cool options this car has, and also has the extremely rare car phone.RS6 wheels give the car an agressive appearance, gets alot of compliments. Again, it needs some love, but the expensive stuff is done, and the car drives nicely. Turbo seems good and spools hard and loud. Engine is extremely strong, these cars truly are tanks and never seem to die.There's tons of stuff I am forgetting that has been done and I have tons of spares.
