Roundie tii, Euro-version, 5-speed, LSD, original golf yellow, FPS factory optional alloy wheels, upgraded suspension, ignition, stereo, turbo rear spoiler, runs great, recent brake & clutch work, service records back to late nineties, current Pennsylvania inspection good until August 2019.
Just mechanically refurbished by specialist. Tracks straight, shifts properly, brakes and steers properly, Kugelfischer tuned--fun to drive.
Most desirable color and year. One of likely a half dozen or fewer golf Euro tii's in the US.
Two scam artists in a row purchased the car and then tried to dramatically renegotiate the price. PLEASE DO NOT DO THAT.I work with the FBI in my job and will take action against any nonperforming bidders that will cause them to be removed from EBay and be reported to local and federal authorities for fraud.

Built in February 1972 according to BMW, the car was delivered new to a dealer in Höchst, Germany before being brought to the US in the late 1970s by a service member. The car retains a factory 1,990cc mechanically-injected four and Euro front seats, as well as upgrades such as a Getrag five-speed manual gearbox, limited-slip differential, and MSD ignition.
The bodywas repainted at some point in its original Golf Yellow (070), and various dents and dings are noted along with some cracks, scratches, and touch-ups ascan be seenin the photos. Previously-repaired front floor panels. Body generally very solid, but needs a proper repaint unless intended as a driver.
Trim includes flag mirrors and early aluminum-trimmed grilles. Side markers have been removed, and new Hella H4 headlights were installed along with low-profile European-market turn signals. Tail lamp lenses have been replaced with items from URO in the correct Euro color combination. The Euro rear bumper houses integrated license plate lights, and a 2002 Turbo-style spoiler is mounted on the trunk lid. FPS 13″ five-slot wheels wear Falken tires with good tread remaining.
A shock tower brace is housed in the trunk along with a relocated battery from 2016, a spare wheel, and a factory jack. Photos detail a previous repair of a corroded left rear wheel well with epoxy sealer over a riveted-in patch. A replacement body panel for that area is included in the sale.
Euro front seats are retained inside, while the rear bench was recovered in full vinyl. Some cracksare noted on the dash, which is home to a tii-specific dash clock and absent of a US-market hazard light. Photos show the general condition of the carpets and headliner. No sunroof is equipped.
Lights and gauges working properly, and the headlight dimmer switch has been rebuilt. The 5-digit odometer now shows just over 34k miles, though it was changed from a metric to US-market unit when the car was imported so total mileage is unknown. An aftermarket stereo system includes an amplifier, seven speakers, and a subwoofer behind the passenger seat.
The 1,990cc inline-four iscorrect for the car but notoriginal. It has been fitted with aluminum intake runners and a Pinto distributor with MSD electronic ignition. The Kugelfischer mechanical injection system isfullyfunctional. Recent maintenance included a tune up, followed by an oil change.
Shifting is via a Getrag 245 five-speed transmission from an E21 320i which was installed in February 2016 along with new master and slave cylinders and a fresh clutch. Power is transferred rearward to a 3.90:1 limited-slip differential.
Parts receipts and service records date to the 1990s!
