1950 Buick Roadmaster SUPER BUICK 1950 Description

1950 BUICK SUPERONE OWNER 31.5K ORIGINAL MILES"Grandmas Last Ride"
As pictured, beautiful 1950 BUICK SUPER two door for sale. It's listed in the Roadmaster category as eBay does not offer a category for the Super model. Grandma bought this car brand new from Beardmore Motors in Mankato KS in 1950. She eventually became too old to drive and the car was put into storage in the 1970's. I found a newspaper in the trunk dated 1973, so I assume it was about that time. The title was put in to the Grandson's name in 1986 with 29,700 miles on it. According to the Doctor grandson, the car was garaged its entire life. The Doctor had it the last 30 years and only drove it about 50 miles a year to keep it in operating order. It currently has about 31,550 miles on it. The doc is now 75 years old and decided it's time to sell. I have a clear, properly endorsed title.
I consider this car a survivor driver. It has not been restored. It appears to be all original and complete except for normal maintenance items and the seat covers. The power plant is a straight 8 engine that starts easy and runs great. It drives smoothly down the road with the Dynaflow automatic transmission. The brakes work great and the pedal is high. The glass is all good. The windows roll up and down like they should. Grandma put the plaid covers on the seats, underneath is the beautiful light gray herringbone upholstery. I was going to pull the covers off, but decided to leave that up to the new owner, but from what I can see the seats look great underneath. The Doc tells me the tires are from the 1960's but do still hold air as the car was stored on blocks when not in use. The frame is super clean. The car does need a little TLC. I noticed the heater core has been bypassed, but the blower still works. Some drips of tranny fluid were noted under the car. The exhaust is louder than stock due to a leak. The radio does not work. The body has imperfections from age and Grandma's reluctance to give up keys! You know, some scratches, chips, dings, etc. All the lights work except the brake lights. Clock does not work. Has a newer battery. The rear brakes seem to grab before the front, so some adjustment is in order. Of course cars over 10 years old are exempt from mileage disclosure in Wisconsin, but I believe this is a low mileage car. I have the original set of keys. Check out the photos to see what condition the car is in.
