Very nice low-mileage Buick Invicta
1961 Buick Invicta Description
Nice 1961 Buick Invicta. It has the Wildcat engine (401 Nailhead) with power steering, power brakes, dual exhaust and automatic transmission. It has a brand new Edlebrock carburetor with electric choke, but I do have the original carb and air cleaner, which will be included in the sale.
The car runs strong and starts right up every time. The upholstery and carpet are brand new. The seats were re-stuffed with premium materials, and are very comfortable. It also had a recent paint job. Brakes are great. Dash pad is excellent. Headliner is dirty, but not water stained. I have not tried to clean it. The trunk is huge and was recarpeted along with the rest of the car. Door panels are good, not perfect, with some wear on top of the white stripes, and a small tear at the very bottom where it screws into the door.
The tires look great, but I can't vouch for their history or age. Personally, I wouldn't drive this car regularly until I replaced the tires, even though they look like they have less than 5,000 miles on them. Car has new belts and hoses, oil change, battery, etc. I cannot find any rust on the car, underneath or otherwise. It's a nice old Buick, and other than what has been mentioned, it's pretty much original. All the chrome and stainless are in good, original condition for a 56 year old car.
To the best of my knowledge, the only issues are the clock and radio not working, although the radio does make noise when turned on. There are some bubbles on the vent wing glass, and the courtesy lenses for the courtesy lights are missing.
I have to thin the herd. This and my 61 Desoto have to go so I can finish the restoration on my 61 Chrysler. I have thousands more invested in this car than the starting bid with the receipts to back it up.
I will help with shipping for you, but of course, all shipping charges are the buyer's responsibility.
I do not need help selling my car, so please don't contact me.
