Radio and heater delete car, with no power steering like an original L88. The car was built by Fabulous Restoration in Ft Lauderdale who had access to pictures and documentation to recreate an accurate engine compartment. It has the brown distributor cap, the orange spark plug wires, the small block cooling system and even the downdraft tube, only found on the L88. It has the correct air cleaner and a working L88 Stinger Hood. The Corvette did not retain it's original engine, so we used artistic license and used a new 427 All Aluminum ZL1 GM Anniversary Motor ($28,000) as the power plant and then made it look correct. It comes with the original GM Engraved Valve Covers #112 and Certificate of Authenticity Plaque. Coincidentally the vin of this vehicle ends xxx12
The Corvette was completely taken part. The chassis and all chassis components were powder coated. Every thing that could be powder coated was, including front coil springs and all engine brackets, rear leaf springs were taken apart powder coated and re assembled. The Corvette retains it's original big block rear end also powder coated. The original 4 speed was rebuilt and comes with the car, It currently has installed a Tremec 5 speed.
It has Willwood 4 wheel disc brakes made for "The Duntov Motor Company" the sole licensed manufacturer of the 1963 Corvette Grand Sport. The Corvette sports 17 inch American Racing Wheels with Good Year Radial Tires. It also comes with 15 Inch Corvette Rally Wheels with Good Year Poly-glass Blue Streak Tires that when on, make the car look completely stock. You can say this car has a split personality, it looks completely stock when it wears the Blue Streaks that hide the Red Duntov Calipers (Used only for shows and display) and a Resto Rod when it wears the American Racing 17 inch wheels that expose the Duntov Red Calipers, which I use when I drive.
The car was displayed by Fabulous at Old Town and Lakland Florida NCRS Show, at Amelia Island and the Vintage Race Car garage in Daytona at the Turkey Rod Run
Unlike a real 1967 Corvette L88 worth between $2,100,000 - $3,650,000 this one can be driven. For inspections car is located 15 miles from Ft Lauderdale Airport.
