1975 Chevrolet Blazer K5 4x4, frame off restoration 2001 Description

NOTICE: THIS BLAZER IS BEING ADVERTISED LOCALLY ALSO and maybe sold prior to end of auction on EBAY, don't wait to bid or it maybe gone.

Down sizing. Purchased blazer in 1990 with 85,000 miles on it; was a little rough from Ohio winters. In 1994, installed rebuilt 350 engine. In 2001, did a frame off restoration with all new sheet metal including a rust free 1977 shell from Texas; new bumpers, stainless steel brake and fuel lines, POR 15 paint underneath with Dupont Chroma Base and Clear Coat ($10,000 invested, labor not included). In 2004, thanks to Army Surplus installed brand new in the crate front and rear ends complete hub-to-hub / drum-to-drum 3:08 GMC. At the same time rebuilt transfer case (including new gears and drive chain) and had transmission rebuilt while out of vehicle. Pulled out wet padding under rubber floor mats, cleaned everything up and had spray on Rhino Lining applied to floor / bed sides so all you have to do is just hose it out to clean up; new bucket seats installed same time. In 2007, new drive shaft installed (no more vibration). In 2012, 3 turn steering box installed. In 2019, wheels and tires. In 2020, Sky Jacker shocks and drag links installed, what a smooth straight ride! Also new: weather stripping, emblems, wheel moldings, door mirrors, rear bumper, paint touch up (clay barred and waxed). Good quality paint holds up for a long time!
Minor Issues: Due to Ohio salt and not wanting rust to come back after 2001 restoration, underside and inside doors / quarter panels / ect was coated with a cozmoline (grease) and oil sprayed yearly; this makes working underneath messy (they do sell cosmoline remover). Some rust is creeping under paint at body to cap and body seams on top (not bad enough for repaint). Some rust on suspension hardware where paint lifted.
