1973 Datsun Z-Series Description

For sale is this 1973 Datsun 240z Triple Webers

Hello Everyone,
Up for bid is a wonderful start to a 73 Datsun 240Z. We love these cars here and think they are one of the best bang for your buck sports cars. This one in particular is quite a bit ahead of most and will make an awesome Z when done.
The matching numbered engine and tranny were supposedly rebuilt, but sadly I do not have receipts. But I did preform a compression check and all cylinders were around 185 so I believe the guy. And the general condition also makes me suspect that a ton of stuff is new. Triple webers were added and are a nice touch. When I got the car it had been sitting for a bit but I gave her a jump and drove her home. Definitely ran a bit rough but the more its been driven the better its become. I would suggest a carb clean and tune and im sure she will run great. Car actually pulls pretty hard now and is drivable, just has a slight hesitation at low rpm’s.
Interior is an unfinished project but has a bunch going for it. Door panels look like new replacements, seats are in nice shape. Original Dash is uncracked but has some scuff marks. Gauges all work. Shows great oil pressure. Needs carpet and headliner. But a great start
The body paint is in eh shape. It was painted in the early 90’s and shows some amateur paint flaws. There is a couple dings and dents. But its all blue and most people don’t even notice. But it should be redone at some point. One of the best things about this Z is the lack of rust. I haven’t seen any. Battery tray area looks nice, trunk area is good, as is the underside of the car.
All in all I would say this is a great project and with some time you will have an appreciating classic in fine shape, and should be a joy to drive. Car feels nice and tight when you drive her and shifts through the gears very smoothly. I suspect it has a tone of new parts as the previous owner stated there was a lot of maintenance done over the years. Please feel free to call with any questions on my cell. 425-802-8682.
