1968 Dodge A100 Sportsman Pop Top Camper Description

Very Rare 1968 A100 Sportsman pop top camper. Bought it for our daughter and her husband, but they had to move to Australia and we don't have the time or money to fix it up, so we're passing it on to someone who can take better care of it than us.
Not sure about numbers matching, but we believe that the engine & transmission is a factory replacement and it is date coded appropriate. Runs and drives well. Engine is strong and transmission shifts smoothly. We have no idea if mileage is accurate. Wheels and tires that are in the pictures belong to our 69 roadrunner and will be replaced with dodge wheels we have on hand. We have been told these vans were sent from the factory to a customizing company to have the pop top and the camper units installed. From there they were sent to the dealerships to be sold. I've been looking for another one like this for 3 years and have only seen one. It was completely restored and sold in the $40k's.
Van is simi rough but has good bones. As far as we can tell, the booth, table, cabinets, sink, refrigerator and stove are original. Propane tank will probably have to be replaced as it is the old style. We pulled up the wood floor because it had deteriorated when we started cleaning it up. As most vehicles this age, it has a few bumps and rust, but shouldn't be too hard to fix.Undercarriageis solid. All the windows are good as is the swing out step to get intothe back camper. The pop top looks to have been replaced along the line and is in good shape. No rips or holes. We pulled all the camper equipment out of the van to pull up the floor and cleaned it up. It's just been slid back in, not put in it's proper place or bolted down. It's all in good shape except the refrigerator has some staining on the inside of the door from cans and such. I have taken pictures of the worst of the rust. One of the side doors is the worst, with rust along the bottom inside edge that goes through the inside panel. There is also some in the fenders behind the wheel wells. See the pictures. I'll be glad to answer any questions or send more pictures.
We do have it advertised locally, so reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Buyer will be responsible for transporting the van. It will drive onto a trailer with no problem.
We are not interested in dealing with middle men, or taking checks for more than the amount of the winning auction. A $500 dollar paypal deposit will be required at the time the auction ends and van will be released after money has cleared our bank. Sorry, scammed once and that's enough.
Anyone wanting to come look at it is most welcome.
