1972 FORD GRAN TORINO SPORT FASTBACK

Purchased from the original owners son, his car was special ordered in 1972.
The gentleman who ordered it took the day off from work and watched it come down the assembly line at the Atlanta (Hapeville) Ford plant.
It has been in Georgia all its life.
Ford did not offer black as a color choice on Gran Torino in 1972, f you wanted black, t was a special order.
Note the blank paint code on the warranty decal and the 6 digit DSO. Proof of special order paint, aking this one of the very few triple black Gran Torinos built in 1972.
Black vinyl roof, lack interior, nd black paint.
Other notable options are the Q code 4V Cobra jet 351 Cleveland engine and heavy duty C6 transmission.
Magnum 500 chrome wheels, ood scoop, actory air conditioning, /S, DB, nd 9 inch rear axel.

Because of the vinyl top, he roof has rusted beyond repair.
We are including a good used fastback roof panel with the sale, e just do not have time to replace the roof and restore this beauty, ut someone should.
The car has been stored outside most of its life, o there are some issues with rust.
It has not seen salted roads, o the frame and suspension are solid.
The leaking roof has caused the floor to rust in spots.
The Left door and 1/4 panel were replaced at some point, nd shoddy bodywork led to rust in the bottom of the L 1/4 panel.
Bottom corner of Right door is weak, lso core support and battery apron have rusted through.
Trunk floor looks good, s does the left door and fenders.
Small rust holes in underside of hood, ut still solid overall.
Air conditioning system looks complete, ompressor is off, nd in the trunk..

We have tuned the 351CJ and redone the fuel system, nd done enough brake work so the car runs and drives.
Transmission goes in drive and reverse fine, ut we have not had it up to highway speeds.
This was not a laser stripe car, t had the wide body side moldings, hich the complete set is included with all four wheel opening moldings.
Both valance panels under the bumpers were not with the car.
We can include both front and rear valances if the buy it now button is used.
No title, sold will bill of sale. Georgia does not require titles on cars 12 years or older.
