1967 Ford Mustang Description

1967 Mustang Coupe. This car was originally a 6cyl model (T code) but has been changed over to a V8 car with full 68 V8 running gear including 5lug and a true factory Mustang 9" rear end with traction lock, 68 disc brakes, power steering, Toploader 4 speed transmission, etc. Just the parts on this car and the extras are worth more than my selling price!
It runs and drives although I started to take it apart as you can see from the photos. It was a running driving car when I bought it and still runs like a clock and can be driven. I was going to turn it in to a vintage 60s Trans Am car, but I need the funds for another project. This car has its issues but at least you can see EXACTLY what you are getting!!! It can be made driveable very easily putting the lighting and fenders back on, however this car is better set for restoration.
I am a super honest seller and will give all the info I know about the vehicle. From what I do know it has spent most of its life on the west coast and has had three owners including myself. It currently sits in my garage and has not been driven outside since I purchased it. It has very little rust however it will need front floor pans that are rusted through. This is a simple and cheap fix and almost every 60s Mustang needs them replaced. Other than that the car is super dry and has great bones as you can see from the photos. The frame rails are perfect! The biggest issue is both quarter panels will need replacing as the previous owner was going to turn it in to a California special and had no idea how to do body work. The rear quarters are full of bondo and terrible welding and workmanship.
PROS:
*Solid 67 Coupe with very little rust, straight rails. Drives and runs straight as can be.*Originally a T code Converted over to V8 with all the correct V8 running gear (5lug etc)*Great running 289 4 barrel V8 with New Edelbrock carb and Holly Street Dominator intake. New alternator. Starts and runs like it was brand new. I drove it 800miles home when I bought it with no overheating or issues through lots of mountains.*New Flowmaster exhaust system.*Nice shifting standard ratio TOPLOADER 4sp with Hurst shifter. The Hurst shifter set up alone would run $350 to $450.00*ORIGINAL MUSTANG 9" REAR END WITH TRACTION LOCK. This isn't an ill fitting Versallies rear like many people use. This is an original 9" rear out of a Mustang so the width and fit are perfect. It has a great working traction lock as well and will spin both tires.*1968 Mustang POWER front disc brake set up.*Original Ford Power steering in perfect working condition.*Original 14" Kelsey Hayes Mustang GT Wheels in great condition with trim rings and caps. These are not reproductions! Great shape with no major dings or rust. Old but decent BFG tires.*Good glass throughout the car that can be used during the resto.*Good doors, hood, decklid. The roof is perfect as well and this is super important. Fenders etc are cheap and easy to replace but roofs, drip rails, pillars etc are difficult and expensive to replace. These have no rust and are smooth and straight.*Trunk is dry with no rust.*Chrome is ok, mirrors etc ok but not show ready.*Good dash. Original gauges all look great and work perfect.*Good headliner.*Seat covering and seat frames are in great condition.*Have all parts to put it back to the way it was except for carpet and a few misc trim pieces. *LOTS of NEW spare parts. New later short shaft steering box, manual steering link, 68 collapsible steering column (safer for a race car). Opentracker steering roller steering arm, tie rods and Baer bump steer kit, full New clutch assembly rebuild kit including equalizer bar, bushings/bearings etc. Trim, extra grill, and lots more. About 2000.00 just in extra parts.
CONS:
*The worst part about this car is it will need the rear quarter panels replaced. The original owner tried welding up the holes he cut for the side marker lights and completely destroyed them. Quarter panels are not easy, but they are not that expensive to do. The car is so dry and straight otherwise it is definitely worth putting the money in to this chassis.*Front floor pans need replacing. Simple and cheap, but they do need to be done. 99% of all Mustangs probably have had or need this done.*Needs front fenders. I have the original ones, but they have below par body work done on them.*Everything else is very minor and is the usual stuff that needs to be replaced like door seals, etc.
As you can see the Pros far outweigh the Cons. This would make an excellent project for someone wanting a good base car with LOTS of good extra parts. I will start it up and we can drive it down the street when you show up! It is currently registered. Be aware car has front fenders, lights, interior etc out and some grinding on the paint so it doesn't look like it does in the first photo.
As you can see by my feedback I am an honest seller with good items. I have sold lots of high dollar stuff on Ebay without a hitch.
