1967 Ford Bronco Description
For sale: 1967 Ford Bronco U100 4x4 wagon, ordered new at Hardin Auto, and never left Montana. These days early Broncos for sale fall into two categories - fully restored rigs, and field rotted hulls. Honest driver trucks have all but disappeared, this Bronco is one of the few left. Good solid truck that you can drive and improve, or heaven forbid, actually use it for something other than posing at Starbucks. Nice dry truck with some of the typical Bronco rust, but having lived a life out west in the land of the sagebrush and prickly pear cactus, it's surprisingly solid and it's never seen salt. See linked Photobucket for close up pics including underside. Factory V8 truck with factory traction lock rear end, Marti Report in the photos. I'll do my best to describe it below:
Exterior: Presentable driver, looks good enough for the campgrounds at Glacier Park or the trails at Moab, and good enough to draw plenty of offers at the gas pump. Original Frost Turquoise was painted over with a darker blue that's fading off. Pretty straight with some dents and dings from a lifetime of hunting, camping and fishing out west. (see pics) Some of the typical early Bronco rust, but none of the sitting-at-the-bottom-of-a-lake rot so often seen on these. Other than a spot on each side of the inner fenders under the hood behind the toolboxes, and on passenger side rocker and floor, it looks darn good for an early Bronco. See linked Photobucket album below for detail pics including underside. Rear wheel wells were cut as most were back in the day but fronts are stock with rubber flares. Doors hinges have been replaced and doors don't sag. Heavy duty bumpers are welded on. Extra holes in roof from roof rack and extra hinges added to gate to stop rattle. Tailgate is dented behind spare tire. Just an honest old truck that will get you where you need to go.
Interior: Functional to use as is, but would need re-do to be nice. Original bucket seats were swapped out for 1970 Mach 1 high back buckets for more comfort on the trails, using what appear to be the original brackets. I sourced a set of the correct style low back buckets and they will be included. Original clunky column shift was converted to Hurst floor shift as most were. Floor mat was replaced with aftermarket waterproof carpet. Original radio hole has been enlarged, and additional hole was cut for the stereo in it now. Most everything works, see function list below. Ready to use around the ranch without worry about spilling your coffee.
Mechanical: Starts, runs, and drives out well. Previous owner swapped in a rebuilt long block 302 when the original 289 gave up. I don't have paperwork on the engine or the mileage, but it runs well with no apparent noises, smoke, or major leaks. Most everything works, see function list below. Manual steering and brakes as all 67's were. Odometer not working and mileage unknown. I tested 4x4 in high and low range and it works fine, I think it would climb a tree if needed. Per previous owner both fuel tanks work but I've only used one. Tires have good tread and should go awhile. Overall good driver for the trails and back roads or putting around town.
Pricing/Misc: If you've been searching for an early Bronco, you know that prices have gotten absolutely nutty in the last 5 years. One went $70k at Mecum this year and I personally sold a good original survivor here on Ebay this spring for $33k. Affordable early Broncos are few and far between. This truck is NO RESERVE and will sell.

This rig runs and drives fine, but flying in and driving it long distance isn't a good option. Montana is a huge state and it's a long way between towns. In many areas there are few services and poor cell service. Truck transport for this Bronco isreadily available and affordable. Montana title isclear with no liens and in my name. After the sale, I can store the truck for up to 30 days free, after that $100 per month storage will be due. Buyer needs to get insurance as soon as car is paid for as I will cancel mine at that time. AS IS NO WARRANTY
