1965 Ford Mustang Description

If you are looking for a classic stock Mustang this is not it. Due to an extremely unfortunate accident resulting in personal injury this project can no longer be finished by the owner. This is a 1965 Mustang coupe that rests on a 2005 Mustang front end (coil overs) with steering box and a Ford 9" rear end housing out of a Ford Fairlane stuffed with 3.73 gears. 4 piston disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear provide the stopping power. Underneath the hood you will find a completely built 351W, Ford Lightening block, Air Flow Research heads, Victor Jr intake, and a Barry Grant Street Demon 750 carburetor. Equipped with a Crower camshaft, advertised duration: 298 intake 304 exhaust @ 50 degrees, 234 intake 240 exhaust, valve lift 534 intake and 545 exhaust, lobe center 110 degrees and recommended MSD distributor #85834 (steel gear). The Windsor is tied to a built C4 transmission with a reverse valve body topped off with a B&M Pro Stick Shifter. The engine will need a final tune and then a front end alignment. There are less than 5 miles on the power plant, tranny, and rear end...it is all still fresh/brand new.

Interior is all brand new to include headliner, seats, carpet, and dash. Dynamat has been installed and covers floors, doors, and trunk to reduce sound of the heavy breathing, loping Windsor.

Theoutside is covered in a 2000 Chrysler Viper Lasik Blue, however, there will need to be some touch ups due to some chips that have happened over the years between moves. The Mustang still needs a parking brake assembly, horn ring, and radio. We have a hood mounted but it needs to be prepped, painted, and then adjusted to fit. There are brand new bumpers on the front and back, to include bolts, and also has new chrome window moldings that frame the new glass that has been installed. There is also a box of parts that complete the rest of the car.

The asking price will include a 16' tandom axel trailer, brakes on on 4 wheels, with ramps and tie downs that has been set up to fit this coupe.

This Mustang was a project my father and I started together that was interrupted by time spent away while in the United States Marine Corps and, unfortunately, the accident that he recently had which ultimately has put a stop to all of it. My father and mother will be downsizing considerably in the next couple of months and the Mustang will not be making the trip. My wife is in the Army and we will be receiving orders shortly and I will not have the space to complete it; furthermore, we are still unsure of where we will be stationed. This is a very unique coupe and is very close to being completed. Again, it will need an alignment, a final tune, and the hood will need to be finished as far as prepping and painting. The rest of the car can be completed in one day.
