1931 Ford Model A Coupe w/ Rumble Seat
1931 Ford Model A Coupe Description
1931 Model A Ford. Coupe with rumble seat.
Converted to 12V system with alternator. Very reliable - starts right up every time.
Beautifully restored. Body and paint done several years ago. In great shape with no dents or dings, but several years old, so not concourse. Interior perfect.
Mechanically excellent. Over the course of the last 8 months, I have painstakingly repaired or replaced anything on the car that wasn’t working flawlessly. This included:
-replacing oil pan seals to eliminate oil leaks-clean and flush the radiator-replaced passenger side door window crank-replaced windshield pivot set screws/bolts-replaced tarnished zinc sill plates and running board trim with stainless steel parts-replaced interior door pulls-rebuilt gas gauge-installed brand new Zenith carb-replaced fuel line, fuel filer bowl with new parts-installed new air maze-replaced spark plugs and wires with period correct parts-rebuilt front brakes with new pads and shoes and springs-repaired horn-replaced speedometer with new rebuilt unit and replaced speedo cable-replaced entire steering column and steering box with rebuilt unit, including column, worm gear, sector shaft, etc.-replaced battery cables with new-Replaced key/ignition switch with new
I have over 200 hours labor in the above, keep meticulous repair records, and have all of the receipts for all of the above parts.
Car runs and drives great. Starts every time, drives great, no steering wheel play, etc. The ONLY thing that does not work on the car is the windshield wiper. It needs new vacuum lines (Snyders Antique auto has the vacuum wiper repair kit (part A-17500-K) for $9.50 and Fabric Wiper House (part A-17520-OR) for $6.25)
Car has 32,229 actual miles. Note that when I replaced the speedometer at 32,182 miles, the rebuilt unit I received from Snyders had the odometer mileage set at 0000.0. So the actual mileage on the car is 32,182 plus whatever is showing on the odometer (currently 38 miles)
