1967 Ford Falcon -- Description

1967 Ford Falcon Sports Coupe VIDEO WITH LISTING VIN: 7B22T213829 7: 1967 Model Year B: Oakville, Ontario Canada Assembly Plant 22: 2dr Sport Coupe, Bucket Seats T: 200ci Thriftpower Inline-6 Cylinder, 3.3L, 120hp 213829: Production Number Trim Tag Decode: Body: 2-Door Sport Coupe (62C) Paint: Medium Gold Metallic (Z) Trim: Black (8A) Build Date: June 13th (13F) District Sales Office: Chicago (41) Axle: 2.83:1 (2) Transmission: C4 Automatic (W) Exterior: - Please see the video along with the listing, as the car is shown in detail. Blemishes on the car are shown close-up and in... direct sunlight. - The light green paint suits the car very well, though not original. Paint gauge readings of 7.0-9.0 all around the car are consistent with one repaint. There are a handful of small paint bubbles scattered about the car, which are shown in the video. The finish is a bit flat and faded, particularly on the trunk lid and roof. - Glass and light lenses are clear and crack-free. - Original, polished mudflaps will come with the car as well. - Wheels are in nice shape, with no significant damage or oxidation. Tires look to be in good shape, as they have a good bit of tread remaining and are not dry rotted, but we cannot be sure exactly how old the tires are. - Chrome is very nice throughout. Some minor, light oxidation on the front and rear bumper, as highlighted in the video, but nothing too significant. - Body is really nice and straight. With the exception of a very light ding on the passenger door, there are no dents or damage on the car. Interior: - Black vinyl interior is original and well-preserved. The driver’s seat has two spots to be aware of. There is a burst seam at the top of the outer bolster, as well as a smaller burst at the forwardmost point of the inner bolster. Passenger seat is excellent, as are the rear seats. The rear seats were very, very seldom used, and the rear seatbelts are actually still in the protective plastic, which we have to assume is from-the-factory. - Dash is excellent. There is no cracking, discoloring, or warping of the dash pad. - Radio is functional, as is the AudioVox tuner mounted below the dash. Heat, fan, wipers, and wiper washers are functional as well. No air conditioning. Interior lights are all functional, including the fasten belts sign under the dash and the turn signal lights. - Gauges are all functional, including the odometer, which reads 56,456 miles. We cannot be positive if this is correct, original mileage, though it does seem likely. Under the Hood / Underbody: - Original drivetrain, “Thriftpower” Inline-6. 200Ci, 1 barrel. C6DE 6015-B. C4 Automatic transmission. - Please take a look through the underbody photos, as it’s documented in detail. Underbody is okay. The rust you see in the photos is very much surface and superficial, with the exception of one large rust hole at the forwardmost point of the passenger footwell. No significant leaks or damage to note, just that one ugly spot. - The car runs and drives pretty well. The steering is nice, tight, and responsive, and the car tracks straight under both acceleration and braking. The car will fire right up, idle steady and cool, shift nice and smoothly, and brake very well, but it does have one tendency worth noting. The accelerator pump is failing, so you need to gently get on the throttle when beginning to accelerate, rather than stomping on the gas pedal. There is also an exhaust leak, so the car is not silent like it should be. Aside from those exceptions, the car does run and drive quite nicely. - The car will come with a Ford shop manual, as well as the original owner’s manual containing the original owner and dealer’s information. The car was originally delivered to Highland Park, Illinois, and traded hands locally a couple of times before we purchased it from a gentleman in the Highland Park area.
