Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 20th year in the classic and muscle car business. Ford's Ranchero has enjoyed a loyal following of devotees since it first appeared in 1957. Although never manufactured in huge numbers, the stylish and comfortable Ranchero probably has more admirers now than during its 32 years (1957-1979) of production. Our 1972 Ranchero 500 is sure to get noticed by the Ford faithful due to its rarity and strong foundation of bullet-proof mechanical hardware. The... owner came across this gem while looking at another vehicle. He suspected that it was unusual, but what a find! The Deluxe Marti Report that he ordered revealed a list of desirable factory features and options including the 429-4V V8 (N), C-6 Select Shift automatic transmission (U), 3.25 axle ratio (9), power steering, power front disc brakes, SelectAire air conditioning, AM/FM stereo radio, Class III trailer tow package, and the instrumentation group. Of the 40,334 Rancheros produced in 1972, this is one of only 198 with these engine/transmission codes and one of 112 with these paint/trim codes! Additional goodies include a fresh rebuild of the C-6 transmission, new Magnum 500 wheels (7" F, 8" R), and new B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A tires. The advantage of having this equipment is the versatility that it offers. You can have a full-framed tow vehicle that's engineered to pull, restore a rare classic that's comfortable to cruise around in, or, with a few modifications you could have a powerful sleeper with a big block, C-6, and the legendary Ford 9" rear end. There is a small dent in the trim surrounding the grill, but this is a straight and solid car that was originally delivered to California and was last owned by a retired Exxon employee that's cared for her for the past 28 years. Now, where did I put the number for Jon Kaase cylinder heads! Street Dreams ) is a full service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options.
