1955 Ford Thunderbird Description

Rare Barn Find of a 1955-T Bird.
Up for sale/trade is a 55-T Bird that has been stored in a garage for the past year or so. Due to 2 torn rotary cuffs and 2 emergency operations that has left me with very limited range of motion in both arms and with blindness in my right eye, my little red bird has just sat. As it is now it will not start and run although it ran great prior to me shutting it down the last time it was used, just prior to my injuries. It has a new battery but I know the fuel is old and the carb has stuck. If I pour gas into the carb it starts but will not continue to run even though the fuel pump is pumping fuel, so I know it's due to stuck jets in the Carb and the old fuel. The car is a basic small block 292 CI V-8 with a 3 speed manual transmission. The interior is in good condition but some of the gauges work, some don't, I know the speed o cable is broken and the radio isn't working. The car has some minor bubbling spots but overall in great condition. The car comes with both a hardtop and soft top but neither have been on the car since 2006, the hardtop is hanging in my garage and the soft top is still in it's space in the car. The car also came with fender skirts which I never put back on and a few other misc. parts. I paid $27,500.00 in 2006. I'll consider cash and/or a trade with cash infusion or can go up or down on my part as well, I will review any and all trade offers. I much prefer a late 50's or 60's muscle car but it must have an automatic transmission. The car has been stored in my garage under cover since it came back from the last car show over a year ago and knowing that I'll never be able to use it again, it needs a good home.
