1932 Ford Other Jim Farley's 'V8 Flyer' Description
1932 Ford Roadster fanatics, here is a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire a very special machine!
‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is proud to offer you Jim Farley’s 1932 Ford Roadster, which made its debut @ the Grand National Roadster Show, and was a finalist in the 'America's Most Beautiful Roadster' (AMBR) event. Jim commissioned Dave Simard and the crew @ East Coast Customs to build the ‘Deuce Roadster’ of his dreams, but it had to be an authentic Hot Rod based on a ‘real’ body & frame manufactured by Ford in 1932. His vision ensured that it would be as unique as it was traditional. Farley’s lifelong interest in American motorsports coupled w/ his position as Ford Motor Company’s head of Global Marketing, along w/ the fact that the Farley family’s connection to Ford goes back generations, set the tone for the Indy-inspired Deuce Highboy that you see here. Farley is a dyed-in-the-wool Ford guy, and in fact, his grandfather was one of Henry Ford’s first employees! This spectacular Roadster, dubbed the ‘V8 Flyer’, showcases the very best of Ford’s past & present engineering. Jim’s idea stemmed from his lifelong interest in racing and motorsports, as well as his passion for traditional Hot Rod craftsmanship and evolving racing technology, which are both apparent in this Deuce Roadster. Jim envisioned a ’32 Roadster that could have been built by a talented Indy 500 crew chief in the late 50’s, a car that would have many of the same design & engineering elements that appeared on Frank Kurtis, AJ Watson, Quinn Epperly, and Lijie Lesovsky Roadsters. Features such as torsion-bar suspension, hairpin wishbones, disc brakes, Halibrand wheels, and a race-inspired engine would figure into Farley’s new creation. The Roadster had to run cool, handle well, stop like a modern car, but still stay true to the build theme. For the entire story behind this amazing build, this Deuce Roadster is featured on the front cover & described extensively over 16 pages in the ‘Rodders Journal’ # 59.
A short list of just some of the build features include:

Again, this is just a very short list of the extensive work performed by East Coast Customs to create Jim Farley’s ‘V8 Flyer’. To say that Dave Simard and his crew hit it out of the park is a gross understatement. This is a one-off, period-correct, and highly unique ‘Deuce Roadster’ that will stand the test of time, period. It has been recognized & praised by many of the top Hot Rod builders in the country. It is not often that a car of this stature becomes available to the public, so if you have been searching for that special Hot Rod for your high-end collection, Jim Farley’s 1932 Ford Roadster is going to be very hard to beat!
