1994 Mazda RX-7 Base Description
Hi,with a potential work relocation to the east coast and a little one on the way, I am selling my 2JZ swapped RX-7.
This car was originally built and tuned by Luis Enrique (https://www.instagram.com/luibuilt82) and Felix Medina (https://www.instagram.com/felixtuned); two well-known builders and tuners in the Tri-State area.
I purchased and shipped this car to California in September 2016 and have had no time to enjoy it; I’ve put on 1,300 miles in 1.5+ years. When I was searching for an RX-7, I was looking for the beauty of an FD without the headaches of the rotary but also did not want a run of the mil LS. When I found this, I jumped on it right away. The first thing I did after delivery of the car was take it to Lawrence Shipman for a tune up and re-calibration for California life/gas. If you know 2JZ’s you should know about Shipman; he’s the 2JZ god in the eyes of many. On a SuperFlow dyno it made 413whp and 391ft/tq on 91 pump and a conservative 14.5psi. SuperFlow readings are comparable to Mustang dyno’s (http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/dyno.htm). I also sent the car over to Da-Les Autobody for paint. Even though the Dodge Hellcat Purple was nice, it wasn’t my cup of tea. I had them respray the car Ebony Chestnut Metallic and install new parts (headlights, bumper, diffuser). A lot of time, effort, and money has gone into the life of this car.
In the relative short time I’ve owned it, it has been a blast and I wish I had more time to actually drive it. This car is not for the faint of heart. It makes all the awesome 2JZ noises, the catless turbo back exhaust is smelly, the Kaaz LSD and Spec clutch is loud, etc. However you forget all that when boost kicks in :-)

I had a disappointing experience with Da-Les Autobody in Sunnyvale, CA. I’m happy to share with you rather than ranting here. It’s a beautiful color, the metallic really pops in the sun however there are some flaws, orange peel, runs, dust nibs, etc.)* Underbody coated* OEM front bumper with OEM 99-spec JDM lip* Custom hood (this hood is very subtle when it comes to the “bump” that most 2JZ swapped FD’s have; for motor clearance, most have a huge cowl that looks out of place)* Feed style side steps* Shine RE-Street style carbon fiber rear diffuser* Evo-R headlights with dual 5000k HID (I had the bodyshop install the lights so both high and low beams are on simultaneously, the low beams alone were too dim)* Updated taillights* Smoked turn signals, side markers, reflectors* Hood dampers* Aerocatch hood latches* Wipers removed* Antenna delete
Interior:* Interior is overall clean, seats are clean with no holes or tears, does have some plastic cracks and is missing the map lid.* Momo steering wheel* Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD head unit* Battery box relocated to trunk* New universal floor mats
Misc:* Gas tank sump to prevent fuel starvation* Summit Racing AN fittings and lines* Mishimoto, Vibrant, Turbonetics couplers and clamps
The Bad:* Driver side passenger window switch rolls down but not up.* Turn signals flashes fast/slow, whatever it feels like. Happened after switching to LED bulbs.* Front side marker parking lights not hooked up.* Some interior cracks in plastics and missing map lid.* Sound system is not the greatest.* No cruise control. You shouldn’t be using this anyways.* No A/C. Not needed here in California* Missing an owner that will actually enjoy it!
