Mercedes-Benz 300D for sale FOR PARTS OR RESTORATION ONLY.
I am extremely sad to let my Mercedes diesel go, but now is the time. It has serious rust on the doors and undercarriage, which has spread into the wheel wells and compromised its safety. The car starts like a champ and drives like an absolute dream. Twin turbo, huge sunroof, but it's just now safe as it is right now.
If I knew how to restore this car, I would not be selling it right now. The drivetrain is amazing and it drives like a dream.
This car's engine still has a ton of life in it. I have owned this car since the winter of 2009/2010, and the only time it doesn't start is in subzero weather. The transmission shifts more smoothly than my new 2016 vehicle (you read that correctly) and the turbos give better acceleration than I've ever experienced on any other diesel vehicle.
If you are into restoring classic vehicles and/or enjoy doing body work, this may be your car. If you are restoring other W123 Mercedes diesels, this would be an excellent parts vehicle. Or if you are looking to turn a profit, this would be a great car from which to sell an engine, transmission, fuel pump, etc.
This is not a car for a young person looking for a cheap ride or for someone who is not interested in restoration, parts, or reselling. THIS CAR IS FOR PARTS OR RESTORATION ONLY. I cannot sell this car to someone who is not a car person, whether you are looking for parts, a project, or turning a profit. Any buyer will need to sign a waiver of liability stating that they understand that this car is for restoration or parts and that it will not pass inspection.
