1985 Mercedes-Benz Unimog U2450L/38 Description

This is a very nice and rare Unimog U2450L/38 with a Twin Disc, six-speed, automatic transmission and in-dash air conditioning. This would be the perfect platform for a expedition build.
The cab of this Unimog has been professionally repainted. It has Dynamat sound-insulation and fiberglass heat-insulation installed along with new Mercedes factory sound insulation/floor coverings. It also had tinted glass installed in all windows (not tinting film applied).
The transmission has overdrive in the top two gears. 5th gear is .891 and 6th gear is .571 allowing for 65 MPH at 2,000 rpm. This gives a theoretical top speed of 83 MPH, but these Unimogs were not designed to run that fast, nor are the tires rated to run at that speed.
The engine is a 240 horsepower OM366LA that is turbo-charged and intercooled.
The winch is aWerner F.70 2H HW with 90m of 13mm steel cable. Rated 5,123 DaN. This runs off of the factory hydraulic system and can be controlled wirelessly, wired, or manually with a lever on the winch.
The platform is 14 feet long, and has been stripped, zinc-coated, poweder-coated, and Rhino-lined on the inside.
This Unimog is in excellent condition and will be fully serviced before delivery.
