1951 Mercury Mercury sedan Nice stainless Description

Offering a very ORIGINAL RARE 1951 Mercury. This super cool "James Dean" era automobile was last driven in 2004 .. It's a 2 owner car. The engine is the stock V8. Smooth shifting good clutch 3 speed transmission, all numbers match. 37,500 on the speed-o. Getting IMPOSSIBLE to find one of these 49 50 51Mercury's. This one is all original except for the hub caps.New radial tires. If your seriously interested I can text you several detailed pictures. Very dry under-belly.Has had seat covers so the original mohair cloth looks good. I looked for years to find an unmolested original Mercury and just after I located this one I found one with a small block and AC so this one goes...It is one of the best original 50's car I've seen but I cant justify keeping them both.This is an un-restored car hence their are some imperfections. Some of the chrome shows oxidation and the door rubber is brittle.It drives and has been garage kept most of its life. The paint looks original with a few touch ups.You will be hard pressed to find another original body like this one..no ripples down the sides dead straight.This is not a show car but it could be used as is or be a great foundation for a really cool street or resto-rod.
