1974 MG MGB Description

This is a completed V6 conversion MGB. It has a 3.4l L32 SFI engine mated to a T5 5 speed transmission. This setup was pulled from a 1994 Chevy Camaro and cleanly installed into the MGB. Professional, purpose built conversion components were used. The V6 works well with the chassis to provide a strong, reliable setup for those looking to enjoy what the MGB has to offer. The entire driveline runs great with no issues. All of the car's wiring has been examined and rewrapped. All new electrical connections were made with solder and waterproof shrink-wrap. There are absolutely no electrical or mechanical issues with this car. The entire car is free of rust and is in excellent overall condition. On the entire car body and underbody, there is one defect: there is a small area of bubbling body filler on the driver's front fender. This is NOT RUST. It covers a very small area and is not noticeable without careful viewing.
The main purpose for the engine conversion was reliability. A stock, professionally designed fuel injection and ignition system by GM provides the most reliable ownership experience out of all other MGBs. The V6 engine also provides much greater power and torque, allowing the driver to hit 60 mph in about 6 seconds. Combined with this added power, anti-tramp bars allow the driver to accelerate, brake, and corner smoothly, sending torque through the bars, instead of the rear springs. A new brake master cylinder, new brake pads, and new braided brake lines provide the driver with superior stopping power and a strong pedal feel, when the brakes are applied. New polyurethane suspension bushings and new driveline bearings allow the car to preform and handle better than it did originally. The T5 5 speed transmission provides crisp shifts, and combined with the new rear gear set, allows the driver to cruise along the highway with a low engine speed, utilizing the low end torque of this powerful V6 and keeping the cabin quiet.
