This beautiful 1953 MG TD roadster comes finished in MG British Racing Red with red leather interior and matching Black Stayfast cloth top and Tonneau cover. its original, numbers matching 1250cc XPAG straight 4-cylinder engine with twin SU carburetors producing a modest 57 horsepower at 5200 rpm. Features include 4-speed manual transmission, Upgraded MGA rear end gears for road comfort, gorgeous burled walnut dash, front fog lamps with badge bar, fender-mounted rear-view mirrors, and correct Jaeger gauges, Lucas amp meter, Plexiglas wind wings, electric wipers, 15 inch disc wheels with polished chrome center caps, 165R15 radial tires, red seat belts, leather shift & e-brake boots, and a complete canvass top set with side curtains. It was repainted at the completion of restoration in July 2010. The entire chassis was disassembled and fully rebuilt, along with the complete drive-train. This included the engine, the entire brake system, suspension & steering system, brass fuel lines with new SU fuel pump, complete wiring harness from front to back, all new SS exhaust, brand new tires, and more. Nothing on this car has been altered from original right down to the correct generator charging system, MG intake and exhaust manifolds. All body and engine tags are clearly present. This MG TD has been only used for parades and car shows in which it always won first in class.
