1969 Oldsmobile Hurst/Olds
1969 Oldsmobile 442 Description
Exceptionally Rare Car.
Engine is rebuilt and on a pallet at my builder's waiting for install. Built by Potter and Stroud's Machine. 455 appears to have numbers matching to vin. The Carb also appears correct by the numbers, I had Deano's rebuilt it to the engine specs. The intake is not factory, its a 1970s aluminum edelbrock that looks fairly similar. Sealed power kit was used (.030" over) with correct piston to wall clearance. Modest Lunati split duration cam but otherwise engine is stockish. Painted correct.
Transmission is out of car at my house and will need to be transported separate also. He has the authenticating numbered hurst plate installed.
Body is rough. Has new floor plan welded in. It is pretty solid given the age but needs rust issues addressed in normal spots. The lower fenders were bondo'ed previously.
Interior. Unrestored. I have the seats and parts though.
Hurst Pieces. The mirrors I have lost. Wing and scoop on on car. cold air induction flap is there, restored also. His and her shifter is there.
I'm trying to update pictures but is in storage and having a difficult time. Have clean title in hand. I do not know actual mileage, the odometer reading is pretty low, I just don't recall. Transmission cable was unhooked from gauge when it was pulled.
