This vehicle currently is not operational. IT needs the following. Coolant system hooked back up and Hydraulics either repaired or replaced. It appears to have the original Healey clutch and brake masters but they are frozen. There are nice steel braided brake lines. This car has been successfully raced in the past before it was re bodied a few years ago. There is obviously lots of work necessary. The wheels role free and the tires are very nice. The rear tires are super wide. Its hard to tell in the photos how small the car is but those are 13 inch wheels. The rear wheels and rear end is Datsun from the late 70s and the front end is still all Austin Healey. The engine is a 2.6 liter Windsor Ford 60 Degree V6 matted to a Ford Capri 4 speed. You may need to do some linkage adjusting but we were able to find several gears. The exhaust will need professional mounting and welding. Its just placed there for the photos. The race seats need to be mounted and there are currently no seat belts. The trunk and the hood are not mounted. There appear to be mounting hardware for the car in the trunk. There is also gas tank filler spout still new in the wrapper. No Gas Tank. The other points of interest in this project are the wiring. We recommend going over all of it and starting over. Its all still hooked up but we noticed that the wires are cut in some parts. The guages are still all there but the dash is not complete. This is a great starting point for a really nice Track Rat.The paint is flat black over raw fiberglass a good 50/50 paint job.. That's 50 Feet at 50 miles per hour. The door skins need to be mounted permanently but you will need to install some race rope handles for door openers. The mechanisms are installed and the doors open and close but there is some finishing needed. The oil looks good and from what we can see no rust. This was a garage Kept race car for many decades. This started out as a 1959 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite but was converted back in the late 70s early 80s. The title is clean and clear and in the same owners name since 1981. Please feel free contact Me with any questions. You will receive the car and a clean and clear open California Title. I can help you arrange shipping or you can do this your self. We can store the car for you for a little while after the auction as long as you pay for the car.
