1953 Packard Caribbean Convertible Car
1953 Packard Caribbean Description
I bought this car hoping to restore it back to original but I do not have the time or the money so I'm going to put it up forsale for now. This is a extremely expensive and rare car and is highly collectible. I have a auction receipt where this car was sold for almost 33 grand in 2013 and the guy started pulling off little nick nacks to start a restoration but went bankrupt and this is where the car is now. The motor is the THUNDER BOLT STRAIGHT 8 with a AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION that cranks right up and runs and sounds great. The fuel pump is barely pumping enough gas so you have to prime the carburetor first and it will run a couple of minutes. If someone would clean the fuel tank and put a fuel pump on it this car would sit and run great. I have not messed with the brakes due to not being able to drive it yet but I figure someone will go thru this whole car like it should be done and restore it to its beauty. These Caribbean convertibles restored go up over 150k and are highly collectible cars. The body is very straight but has the usual little spots on the bottom on the lower drivers front fender, little bit on driver rocker, and driver rear bottom fender bottom and the pass side lower fender, little spot on pass lower door, and little on pass rocker but easy fixes when your prepping for paint. There is a new tail light to replace the one thats missing and 2 other clear lens as well. The car still has the original wire Packard Rims with white wall tires but they are old and they hold air but before driving on the highway I would replace them. I noticed 1 headlight ring and the spare rim was missing. Ialso lost the trunk key and door key but gonna keep looking for them but the ignition key is in the car so you can crank it up to hear it run.I have not messed with lowering the top because its in poor shape and didn't want to make it worse. The previous owner took the front and back bumpers with the grill and a few other little trim pieces to a chrome shop in San Antonio and they rechromed them several years ago. They never got paid for them and recently sold them to a Packard guy which I have his number and he said he would sell them if I decided I wanted them or whoever buys the car I can set you up with him. The vin number is on the firewall and you can see it in the pictures and it does match the title. The tag on the drivers door jam is missing my guess is when they were taking things off to get ready to restore it. it got lost or could be in the car or parts somewhere that are in the trunk. Overall this will make someone a beautiful rare car when finished and a healthy retirement plan when ready to sale. These cars are extremely expensive and a good one to have in your collection!!!The car now has a clear Illinois Title and if you buy it and you live in Texas I have totransfer it into your name since I have a dealers license but if you live out of state I don't have totransfer it all you have to do is sign my out of state exemption form and you can do it in your state yourself whenever your ready.IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO CALL ME AT 512-760-566FIVE THANKS JUSTIN LOCATED IN ROCKDALE TX 76567 BEFORE YOU BID IF YOU DO NOT PLAN ON GOING THRU WITH BUYING THIS CAR OR YOU DONT HAVE THE MONEY PLEASE DONT BID THIS SITE IS FOR PEOPLE WHO BUY CARS NOT DREAM ABOUT THEM!!!
