Here is a great little VW Cabriolet Wolfsburg Edition. 1989 was a special year for this little car with only the Star Blue Metallic color available. This model came with the Silverstone wheels accented with Star Blue Metallic tear drops in the alloy wheels which gave it a unique and rare look. 1989 was the only year with only one color available making this model a little extra special!
This exterior of this vehicle is in great shape with absolutely no rust exposed or hidden anywhere. The original Star Blue metallic is beautiful and still shines as new. There is small damage on the lower passenger door panel that we will leave as is. It is quickly overlooked by the overall beauty of the rest of the car as it is so low on the panel. All the windows and molding are in tact and free from damage. A new windshieldwill be installed prior to delivery. It is cracked from road debris. The convertible operates manually and is very easy to put up down. The materialon the roof is in good condition with no rips. Small stress cracks are apparent on the the rear section where the flat roof meets the angle glass panel. No leaks or wind issues. The top appears to be new and will last many more years with the proper care and storage. It appears to have always been garaged.
The interior is absolutely exceptional for the age of the car. The fabric seats, carpet, dash board, door panels and originalconvertible top boot are in great condition free from any staining, damage, rips or tears. The cloth seats and door panels are in a multi blue colored stripe and again only available in the 1989 model year. They are in absolutely excellent condition showing no fading or discoloration. Even the drivers seat shows exceptionally minimal use. All features are functioning including factory radio, vent windows and all other windows. The AC is not blowing cold.
Mechanically this car seems to be running well. A basic visual safety inspection and test drive reveal no major issues. The transmission is smooth and shifts as designed. The engine is quiet and starts promptly. I would expect a basic tune up among other minor things to be needed after purchase. No major or notable minor issues exist. This is a very basic drive trainand will be easy to maintain and enjoy for years to come.
