1979 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic CONVERTIBLE Description

Very nice mainly original 1979 Beetle convertible with fuel injection. It is the last year they were sold in the U.S and this has been sitting in a garage in central Texas. It does look like the front drivers fender has been repainted and the clear coat is peeling on that fender. The rear drivers fender needs a little body work as it blew a tire and damaged the edge of the fender. The pictures of the two doors show very minor rust spots on the exterior of the doors on both sides and a few little spots on the front bottom edge of the hood. As you can see in the pictures the floor panels are rust free and solid, the chrome is excellent! The convertible top and headliner will need replacing as they are original and very dry, the weather stripping is beginning to fail around the door sills. It runs and drives great, just had the oil and screen changed and had the brakes serviced. I have been driving it around town and its a blast. Everything works, and engine sounds great.
