1984 Volvo 240 TURBO with Intercooler Description

The good news – this is a 1984 Volvo 240 Turbo with factory Intercooler, with the B21FT engine. It is all stock condition.

The bad news – It has some collision damage from being hit in the left rear. It still drives – it starts, runs, and stops. You may be interested in it for the parts – there are a lot of great parts on this car.

It has all the Turbo features, and some nice options too. There’s the “Virgo” wheels, the “Turbo” logo on the front grill, and the “Turbo” and “Intercooler” emblems on the trunk lid, the front spoiler (air dam), and the Turbo all black bumpers and black body side molding. It has air conditioning (not working), cruise control (don’t know if it works), sunroof, black leather interior (driver’s seat is torn), turbo gauge cluster (turbo boost, oil pressure (not working), and voltage gauges). Other options are power windows, power locks (controlled by the driver’s door lock), electric trunk release (switch is in glovebox), power side mirrors (switches are on front of center console), and under hood light (disconnected).

The steering rack and tires were replaced in 2013. The tires have only a few thousand miles on them.

The Virgo wheels and the tires alone are worth the opening bid amount.

The odometer does work and it shows 196,625 miles. I believe this to be the actual mileage. The trip odometer works and so does the trip odometer reset button.

The body does have rust in the usual places. It had some amateurrust repair done to it.The windshield has some chips and a small crack. The drivers door pocket is missing, and the passenger door pocket is broken. The center console cover is broken as well. The small clock is missing. The windshield washer reservoir leaked, so I removed it and it is included in the sale. As a result the windshield washers do not work. The wipers themselves do work.

The collision damaged the rear bumper, rear panel, trunk floor, left taillight, muffler, tailpipe, and left rear fender. The car still drives. When the engine is warm the idle speed fluctuates.

The car is sold as is, where is, with no warrantee. Since it was in a collision, there may be damage I’m not aware of.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
