1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Bel Air Description

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Sedan- UNRESTORED ORIGINAL SURVIVOR with only 35K miles- Recently purchased from the estate of a Pennsylvania Chevrolet enthusiast who drove it some 14K miles during the years he owned it. Car is resplendent in its factory-ORIGINAL Tuxedo Black paint and silver/black interior with only slight age-related patina. Power is from the original 235 ci six-cylinder engine with standard "3-on-the-tree" transmission. Car is the recipient of AACA's Historic Preservation Award (HPOF) for unrestored vintage vehicles. Factory options and "jewelry" include the super rare E-Z-Eye tinted glass in all windows, bumper guards, DeLuxe heater, radio delete, rocker panel moldings, spinner wheel covers, and recently-installed wide whitewall radial tires.
This rare "post" Bel Air has only 35K documented miles and reportedly had 21K miles when the most recent owner/collector bought it from the nephew of the original owner in 1989. The car was purchased new at Degan Chevrolet in the Philadelphia, Pa area and still has the original dealer emblem on the trunk. Original paint is very nice with only a few very minor spots showing a little wear-through to the primer. No rust or rust repair noticed. Original interior is great other than some minor wear where driver enters and exits. Ash tray appears unused. Car runs beautifully and is truly a joy to drive. Trunk area is outstanding with the original spare, tools, and sticker. Trunk floor and floor mat all original. Documentation includes the original owner's manual and a 2011 article in Chevy Classics Magazine written by the late owner.
Seldom do you see an unrestored or un-modified 1957 Chevrolet like this one, but more rare still is the opportunity to buy one!! Wouldn't you like to be the next caretaker of this museum-quality Bel Air?
